Undercover Hotel Reviewers Revealed at Mr & Mrs Smith Launch
A glamorous group of secret hotel reviewers were unveiled at the 8 December launch of the sexy new hotel guide from boutique hotel experts Mr & Mrs Smith at East Sydney restaurant Universal.
Drawn from the spheres of fashion, theatre, design, food and wine, the reviewers included the likes of actor Sigrid Thornton, chefs Christine Manfield and Andrew McConnell, television personality Deborah Hutton, Vogue Australia editor-in-chief- Kirstie Clements and events guru David Grant. Each applied their style-spotting skills to a two-night stay with their own Mr, Mrs or Ms Smith and recounted intimate and entertaining stories of their trips for the book. Mr & Mrs Smith Hotel Collection: Australia/New Zealand is the sixth book in the worldwide must-have Mr & Mrs Smith series, and includes more than 30 of the best boutique properties in Australia and New Zealand. Each property was visited and exhaustively researched by Mr & Mrs Smith staff and then anonymously reviewed by one of a carefully selected group of "tastemakers" or secret reviewers, in distinctive Smith-style. Guests enjoyed canapés of barbecued spiced prawn and mini steaks with salsa verde served up by tastemaker Christine Manfield and her team while drinks were supplied by Deutz Marlborough Cuvée, Cascade Premium Lager and Donny GoodMac wine. "Mr & Mrs Smith Boutique Hotel Collection: Australia/ New Zealand" is available now in Borders and all good independent book shops with a RRP of $45. |
