Event hosting

Event hosting, MC work and wine and spirit education.
When Director Stuart Gregor's not running the Liquid Ideas business he's usually hosting some charity gig, wine dinner or spinning commentary at a sporting event across town. Stu's approach is upfront and uncomplicated while inspiring and insightful at the same time. Just ask the Starlight Children's Foundation where Stu has been involved in hosting and rasing money for the Five Chefs' Dinners around Australia for the past seven years.

Other clients have included Grant Samuel, Clayton Utz, Australian Rugby Union, Australian Made, International Cricket Council, Lend Lease and BMW. Stuart has also addressed the National Press Club, Government-backed Small Business seminars and New York's Stern Business School students at Melbourne Business School.

The A-Z guide to services.

Liquid Ideas' core business is managing the overall communication strategies for our clients. These include:

Brand management, strategy and marketing solutions
We get inside your brand and understand its footprint before embarking on a strategic and thorough marketing and PR campaign that's always on message.

Copywriting
You name it, we write it. Press and radio ads, brochures, web copy, speeches and newsletters -- our wordsmiths will get your message across.

Event management
We love a party at Liquid Ideas and our events team specialists have years of experience behind them. Whether it's wine and food dinners, product launches, trade shows, corporate hospitality or the opening of a bar or restaurant, we plan, primp, and most importantly, promote.

Media liaison
Liquid Ideas understands the importance of relationships and the media are our most important allies. Except for our clients, of course.

Media monitoring, measurement and analysis
All coverage is accompanied by our own in-house measurement analysis, so you'll see how much bang you get for your PR buck, and how much publicity you got, most importantly.

Media releases
We believe media releases shouldn't just be a tonne of information, but a carefully tailored document sent to strategically-targeted outlets.

Media training
We know how to get inside the media's head (some of us are ex-journos) and we'll make sure you're an expert, too, when dealing with TV, print or radio journalists.

What people are saying about us.

"You wouldn't think FoodWaterShelter -- a not-for-profit organisation that focuses on building eco-friendly children's villages with health, education and social facilities for orphans in developing countries -- would have a lot in common with a slick, fast-paced PR company situated in Alexandria (Liquid Ideas). Well, think again." Read the full story here...

"Jacob's Creek is the best known wine brand in Australia and the UK", according to UK research company Wine Intelligence. "The winery's ad agency Clemenger BBDO and PR company Liquid Ideas had contributed significantly to the brand exposure in Australia".
- Orlando Wines Senior Brand Manager Fiona Keen (B&T magazine, 7 August 2007)

Stuart Gregor has a deep understanding of Australia's culinary culture and he has the flair, creativity, contacts and people skills to make an impact. "Liquid Ideas is a company I've been associated with since its inception through my friend Stuart Gregor. The professionalism and substance to their work is matched by the great environment and partnership they create with clients. I have seen this on a number of occasions at functions and events I've been to and the way the clients talk about Stuart and his team. Use them."
- Phil Kearns, Client Services, Investec Foxtel Rugby presenter, Former Wallaby
"In a business filled with PR flacks and hacks and annoying cold callers, Liquid Ideas stands apart as an old-school style PR company that actually builds relationships between brands and journalists. It would be no exaggeration to say that I deal with 30 to 50 PR companies a week, but I'm always happiest to hear from Liquid Ideas.
Furthermore, their events are of the highest calibre and I never, ever turn down an invite to one of their parties. It would be like turning down an Oscar invite. Stuart Gregor and his team are a credit to the industry."
- Stephen Corby, Journalist and Blogger, Sunday Telegraph
Not only do I regard Liquid Ideas as the most professional media relations/publicity company involved in the food and wine industry I fully recognise its ability to develop constructive and successful relationships with its wine clients and the sports industry.
Stuart Gregor's own personal knowledge of and passion for sport, especially rugby union, cricket and horse-racing, is well known to me personally although I must say he has never tipped me a winner.
- John Fordham, The Fordham Company, Media, Sport and Entertainment Management
"In my experience, Liquid Ideas boasts good people with innovative ideas, ingenious and well executed promotions and events and, most importantly, top shelf booze."
- Dan Murphy, Features Editor, Australian Men's Style
"Liquid Ideas are one of the few PR companies in a saturated Sydney market that KNOW how to get their clients products to stand out, they have wonderful "service" & amazing staff - staff that take the care to follow up on events & tickets & products & to spoil the right people in media who will then mention their clients on the radio show/ newspaper / tv etc etc & that what you WANT isnt it?!?!?!
They establish great contacts with influential media and that in Sydney is what its all about!!!"
- Bianca Dye, Radio & Media Personality, Nova 969
"Liquid Ideas has been a supporter of the Starlight Children's Foundation for more than six years. They have contributed a significant amount of time as well as donating product at both major and minor Starlight events over the years.
Stuart has such a passion and generosity for Starlight we know that at any stage we can pick up the phone and he and his team will assist where humanly possible. Working with the team at Liquid Ideas is a true joy and a relationship we hold close to our hearts."
- Saraid Carey, National Events Manager, Starlight Children's Foundation
